Our story

It all began with a needlefelting day at the marvellous Artison in Masham. I originally bought it as a day out doing “crafty things” with my Mum but by the end of the day, I knew, I was hooked!

There was something strangely soothing about sitting there, stabbing wool over and over again. Sounds weird, I know - but seeing form start to take shape and adding in detail until your animal friend appears before you is just brilliant.

I started to do it as a form of stress relief at lunchtimes during the working day and before I knew it, I had a growing menagerie of creations littered about the house, taking up every available bit of windowsill space. So, I gave some away, then I was asked to make some specially for people, and that was it!

It’s taken a while to get to the point where I feel brave enough to ’go public’ and I’m learning as I go - not just the needlefelting, but the website and marketing stuff too! Anyway, here we are!

p.s. If anyone is wondering what I made on that very first day, here is my first hare. Whilst I’ll never sell him, I have made others like him, although every one has a charater of their own.
